The Nebo School Board appointed Anthony Bowden as the Assistant Principal of Diamond Fork Middle School.
Anthony earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Utah, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Southern Utah University.
Anthony has been employed by both Uintah School District and Nebo School District for 31 years. He began as a classroom teacher in Uintah for nine years before moving to Diamond Fork Middle where he taught Health and PE for 21 years. He then served as the Dean of Students at Valley View Middle for the past year.
Anthony has received multiple awards throughout his career including a Nebo PEAK Award, KSL Teacher Feature, and the Salem City Community Service Award.
A colleague stated, “Anthony’s true magic is his ability to connect with students. He is the perfect mix of firm and fun. He could always de-escalate any discipline situation, turning every moment into a teaching opportunity. Students rose to his high expectations.”
Anthony’s personal motto is, “Today is a Good Day for a Good Day”.
Anthony is married to Amy and together they have six children and seven grandchildren. Anthony enjoys training bird dogs, boating, riding dirt bikes, and being with his family.
