With the new vacancy left by Lynn Mecham in the transportation department, the Nebo School Board appointed Joe Warren as the Transportation Supervisor.
Joe graduated from Payson High School and has worked for Nebo School district for 29 years. Some of Joe’s job experiences include: maintenance, electrician, and order clerk; as well as warehouse deliverer, refrigeration, purchasing foreman, and manager.
A colleague stated, “Joe is pleasant to be around and is willing to help. He takes charge of his responsibilities without reservations.”
When asked about his thoughts, Joe said, “Wow, I am totally excited about his position. I want to thank Rick for his guidance and help as well as Steve and Matt. I hope to live up to their expectations. There are many who have made a significant impact in my life. I want to thank Denis Poulsen and Brent Hawkins who brought me into this career. Chris Sorensen friend shipped me 29 years ago, and I have come to respect him as a principal and teacher. Zera Staheli supervised me. What a great mind and great patience. He taught me confidence and determination. They have all been such great examples in my life. Thank you.”
Joe is married to Lesa. They live in Payson and have a daughter, Katie, and two sons, Selby and Charlie. Joe enjoys antique tractors, especially John Deere, farming, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
