THE PEAK AWARD CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM
Nebo School District wants to showcase our Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and the Nebo School Board. The award is administered by the Communications and Community Relations Department.

Ryan Adair, Band Teacher, Salem Hills High
Nominated by: Kali Krueger

"The amount of kindness Ryan has shown his students is amazing. He really motivates his students to show the best of themselves. I have seen many students really open up and carry on the kindness and positive attitude that he consistently exudes. Ryan Adair is an excellent example of positivity and light for the community and groups he leads. It's refreshing and exciting to see such a positive attitude."

Yareth Ramos, Skill Building Technician, Santaquin Elementary
Nominated by: Amy Braithwaite & Bailee Tanner

"Yareth goes above and beyond everyday here at Santaquin Elementary. She greets the students first thing every morning & helps them to class if they need it. Then she starts pulling kids into her office that are struggling. She gets to know each child and how to help them so well it feels like we are all just a part of her family! We are so grateful to have her here at Santaquin Elementary and would like to nominate her for the PEAK Award because she deserves it!"

Lynne Lowe, Instructional Coach, Park View Elementary & Orchard Hills Elementary
Nominated by: Lena Bird

"Lynne is the first person to help when a teacher has a need. She collects data, creates lessons, models, gives advice, and is a cheerleader for the teachers she works with. She is positive and kind. She goes above and beyond often using her own time to create resources that she willingly shares at both of her schools and throughout the school district. She advocates for teachers and is always willing to participate in PD. She does so much because she really cares about teachers and wants to help."

Nicole Eason, ACC Technician, Spanish Oaks Elementary
Nominated by: Holly Frasche

"Nicole cares so much about the students in her classroom. She worries about them and is always thinking of different ways to engage them and help them learn. Her patience is mind-boggling and she somehow manages to take the behaviors of her students in stride and just rolls with them. She recognizes their frustrations with their own limitations and does everything she can to help them succeed."

Fanfan Charles, PE Teacher, Payson High
Nominated by: Brian Cole
"Ever since Fanfan started teaching at Payson High, he has come to work early and brings out a giant boombox on wheels. He goes down the halls and plays music for the students until the first class starts. He also does this at class breaks and during lunch breaks. I can't tell you how this has changed the mood at Payson High for both the students and teachers. It brightens everyone's morning and lunch and has put a smile on so many faces! I love it when he rolls by and I get a fist bump from Fanfan! This is not something that he was asked to do, it is just reflective of how service oriented Fanfan is. I know that Payson High is a better place because of him."

Djuana Sumsion, Lunch Manager, Sage Creek Elementary
Nominated by: Chelsea Wilson
Our kitchen and lunch room is in impeccable condition and it's run so efficiently. Djuana knows all of the kids and greets them with happiness every day. She decorates and dresses for special occasions to brighten everyone's day. It has made me feel that every single department in Nebo School District loves and has an impact on our children. They all contribute to the daily happiness of each child in the best way!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This initiative is designed to focus on "raising the bar" on providing exceptional customer service, both internally and externally. A key component of this initiative is the development of the PEAK Award. The PEAK (Positive Energy and Kindness) Award is presented monthly to someone in the Nebo School District who "really gets it" when it comes to providing exceptional customer service, which in turn results in positive impacts on everyone including students, parents, co-workers and members of the community.

Who Gets Nominated?
Faculty and staff members are nominated by anyone in the community through the Nebo School District website, www.nebo.edu/PEAK wherein a special Customer Service link is provided. The directions as to how to nominate an employee for the PEAK Awards are clearly spelled out on the site. All nominations must include information on how the individual has provided exceptional customer service, as well as how the employee's actions impacted the nominator's overall perception of Nebo School District Schools. The name and contact information of the nominator must be included.
