Nebo School Board Appoints Sydney Sharp as the Assistant Principal of Maple Ridge Elementary School

The Nebo School Board appointed Sydney Sharp as the Assistant Principal of Maple Ridge Elementary School.

 Sydney earned her Bachelor's of Education Degree from Brigham Young University and her Master’s of Educational Leadership Degree from Southern Utah University.

Sydney has been employed in Nebo School District for 10 years, beginning as a classroom teacher at Canyon Elementary for one year, followed by seven years in the classroom at East Meadows Elementary. She next served as a TSA at Apple Valley Elementary for the past two years.

Sydney was the Teacher of the Year for East Meadows Elementary in 2019.

A colleague said, “Sydney is extremely dynamic and is a go-getter. She understands the value of collaboration and lives the principles of a true PLC. Sydney sets goals and will not stop until she achieves those goals.”

Sydney would like to share the following,“I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have had and the mentors that I have worked with throughout my career. I love to learn from principals, coaches, colleagues, and students. I can't wait for this new experience to continue to learn and grow.”

Sydney loves pickleball, traveling, reading, going to concerts, watching sporting events, and spending time with her family and friends.
