Reclaiming Native Truth

This training was led by Nebo's Title VI American Indian Education team headed by Eileen Quintana. In this training, teachers and librarians heard from leading Native American scholar Debbie Reese about implementing Native and Indigenous literature in the classroom.  They also learned about the efforts made by our Title VI team in the district.  Additionally, they heard from state leaders including leaders from the Utah Division of Indian Affairs and Earth Connection.  One of the highlights of the training was a student panel and cultural celebration with Nebo Native Youth.  It was a transformative experience for everyone who was able to attend.
