UVU Engineering & Technology Week 2022

  • February 22, 2022 - Elementary Schools
  • February 23, 2022 - Secondary Schools

Join us on UVU campus for a two-day event designed for high school, middle school, junior high school, and elementary school students. Students will learn about the fast-growing world of engineering and technology, explore potential career opportunities, and experience the ways in which these industries are changing in the world around them.

This event is part of the global Engineers Week created by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). The purpose of the event is to encourage the next generation of engineers by providing opportunities for them to learn more and find their interest in engineering and technology.

BYU Young Musicians Academy

flyer previewThe BYU Young Musicians Academy was established to encourage music in the home by offering quality music experiences for preschool children, and their parents. Moreover, it serves as a music teaching and observing laboratory for Music Education, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education majors. This program offers the following weekly classes, with both in-person and virtual class options: Parent/Toddler (20 months-2 years old), Music Explorers (3 years old), Music Makers (4 years old), and Music Creators (5-6 years old).

In-person classes begin with free exploration time where the students can explore various instruments, songs, and activities that will help them make connections and discover music in meaningful ways. After the exploration time, the class comes together for circle time led by director, Emilee Knell, and BYU assistant teachers. Online classes are taught through Zoom each week and include similar activities to those of the in-person circle time. Materials are mailed to students so they can participate from wherever they are!

Visit our website or contact Emilee Knell at emilee_knell [at] byu [dot] edu with any questions. We hope to see you and your children in our classes this year!
