THE PEAK AWARD CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM
Nebo School District wants to showcase our Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and the Nebo School Board of Education. The award is administered by the Communications and Community Relations Department.
Chett Muhlestein, Teacher, Valley View Middle

Chett's positive, playful, happy personality is contagious. He is someone you want to be around. He is someone you want to work with. What a tremendous job he has done in opening Valley View's PE department. The students love Chett! The staff loves Chett! He works hard to know each student and to welcome all who want to spend their time in the gym during lunch and recess. He has created a fun, safe environment with numerous athletic activities to include, challenge, and engage every student. Many of the activities take extra time to set up and take down in the gym and out on the field. I've seen him day after day here at the school early and late preparing or cleaning up. Chett is always one of the first ones to jump in, support and help his colleagues with any extra activities, professional development ideas and assemblies.
Ali Olson, Teacher, Spring Canyon Middle

Ali has gone above and beyond to grow her band program over the past few years! Ali is a dedicated, hard working educator that has given her students incredible opportunities to succeed in and outside of class. Recently, Ali has worked hard to facilitate a close partnership with Springville High that has led to Spring Canyon Middle School students having the opportunity to play at a Springville High football game the past two years! This opportunity has fostered a strong sense of connection between our students and the community, resulting in meaningful experiences for high school mentors and an overwhelming sense of joy among our middle school students.
Sara Liechty, Teacher, Westside Elementary

Sara Liechty is absolutely an exemplary teacher. Since Sara joined my first-grade team, I have seen how she has worked tirelessly to lead her students to achieve their greatest success. My trust in her as a teacher is so great that I asked if it was possible for her to be my partner, my other half in the immersion program. In the years that I have worked directly with her, she has never stopped thinking about how to best serve her students by making the best implementation of their literacy programs for the benefit and academic success of each of our 50-52 students per school year. She also makes time in her already busy schedule to help our team by serving as a guide, mentor, and leader.
Ann Braden, Teacher, Spring Lake Elementary

Ann is the most positive, loving, and kind person. She leaves others feeling lifted by complimenting them and making them feel comfortable. Ann looks out for each student she comes in contact with and is committed to the success of each student. She is a lifelong learner and seeks opportunities to improve her craft. We are so lucky to have Ann at Spring Lake.
Lindi Lundell, Teacher, Foothills Elementary

Lindi works hard to support out students that need intervention support in reading. On top of planning amazing lessons for her groups, Lindi will take her extra or spare time to work with students one-on-one that need extra support on top of her intervention groups. Lindi could be using her time to plan but she meets with as many students as she can. She meets with students before school and after school. Lindi is also willing to help wherever needed in the school and does so with a smile and a delightfully positive attitude. She covers the office, she helps with supervision, and assists at assemblies. We are lucky to have Lindi at Foothills.
Cheryl Ricks, Technician, Springville Junior

Cheryl is never without a smile, which is a big ask as a technician in a junior high school. She exhibits kindness and patience every day as she works tirelessly with students to help them learn the academic, social, and emotional skills needed to be successful beyond our walls. Cheryl will do anything to help our kids and is their biggest advocate and cheerleader when they struggle.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This initiative is designed to focus on "raising the bar" on providing exceptional customer service, both internally and externally. A key component of this initiative is the development of the PEAK Award. The PEAK (Positive Energy and Kindness) Award is presented monthly to someone in the Nebo School District who "really gets it" when it comes to providing exceptional customer service, which in turn results in positive impacts on everyone including students, parents, co-workers and members of the community.
Who Gets Nominated?
Faculty and staff members are nominated by anyone in the community through the Nebo School District website, www.nebo.edu/PEAK wherein a special Customer Service link is provided. The directions as to how to nominate an employee for the PEAK Awards are clearly spelled out on the site. All nominations must include information on how the individual has provided exceptional customer service, as well as how the employee's actions impacted the nominator's overall perception of Nebo School District Schools. The name and contact information of the nominator must be included.
