Nebo School District is excited to partner with the Fiesta Days Rodeo team to challenge our elementary students in the Spanish Fork area to read more. This year’s theme is “Read More.”
The Fiesta Days Rodeo Committee kicked off the Rodeo Reading Challenge a little different this year.
Students are asked to log their reading for the month of March. The students will turn in their reading minutes to their teacher and each grade will have a winner.
Last year the students’ combined reading total reached 2,829,227 million minutes or 1,965 days or 5 years. Two student readers at each elementary school will be announced in July at the Fiesta Days Rodeo in Spanish Fork. These winning students will receive tickets to the Fiesta Days Rodeo, Justin boots, Wrangler Jeans, and a Resistol cowboy hat as well as be involved in the opening ceremonies on the opening night of the Fiesta Days Rodeo.
Enjoy the seven minute clip of this year’s Rodeo Reading video clip. There is a special surprise at the 5:08 mark.
Schools accepting the Rodeo Reading Challenge include:
East Meadows Elementary
Maple Ridge Elementary
Sierra Bonita Elementary
Spanish Oaks Elementary
Good luck reading Nebo students. Let’s reach 3 million minutes this year.
