Falcons, don’t forget, Friday is Spirit Day! Show your Falcon pride by wearing your spirit wear. 💙🦅❤️

The class in each grade level with the highest percentage of spirit wear will take home the Spirit Trophy 🏆 for the week.

Congratulations to Audrey Davis, our 3rd Grade Kindness Award recipient! Her teacher shared, “Audrey has a personality that brightens any room. She is quick to include others and is always looking for ways to be helpful. Both her kindness and her constant smile are contagious, and our class wouldn't be the same without her!” Great job, Audrey!

Congratulations to Evelyn Johnson, our Kindergarten Kindness Award recipient! Her teacher shared, “Evelyn shows kindness to others by taking turns while playing games, holding her friend's hand when she was having a hard day, and helping another friend answer a question. Evelyn also shows kindness by smiling at her lunch buddies and following classroom routines. Thank you for being so kind, Evelyn!” Great job, Evelyn!

Congratulations to Morgan Juergens, our 1st Grade Kindness Award recipient! His teacher shared, “Morgan is always so kind to everyone in class and wants to be friends with everyone. He is always willing to play with anyone during recess.” Great job, Morgan!

Congratulations to Jacob Nielson, our 5th Grade Kindness Award recipient! His teacher shared, “Jacob is a great example of kindness here at Foothills! He is always there to help his teacher, classmates, and anyone else who might need help. He is the first to volunteer when help is needed and is always watching out for those around him. He is very aware of his classmates' feelings and is there to lift them up if they are having a bad day. Jacob is always cheering on his friends and classmates and is great at helping them to keep working hard and not give up. We are so lucky to have Jacob here at Foothills!” Great job, Jacob!

Congratulations to Kohen Holman, our 4th Grade Kindness Award recipient! His teacher shared, “Kohen consistently shows kindness by sharing his supplies with classmates and making sure everyone has what they need. He is always willing to help the teacher whenever asked, showing responsibility and a positive attitude. Most importantly, he treats everyone with respect and kindness, making the classroom a welcoming place for all.” Great job, Kohen!

Congratulations to Sawyer Weight, our 2nd Grade Kindness Award recipient! His teacher shared, “We are excited to honor Sawyer with the Kindness Award. He is quick to offer a helping hand, share with classmates, and include others in activities. Sawyer’s caring attitude and friendly smile brighten our classroom every day.” Great job, Sawyer!

Congratulations to Parker Condley, our Kindergarten Kindness Award recipient! His teacher shared, “Parker is a happy boy who is kind and polite and always ready to help anyone. He has an eagerness to look around and see what needs to be done, whether that's simply offering to share a crayon with a friend or helping a friend clean up their mess after he has finished cleaning up his own. We appreciate his efforts to go the extra mile in helping his friends and his teacher!" Great job, Parker!

These students stood out this month for showing kindness. We appreciate the example they set for others!

This month, we have learned about the word GENEROUS. We learned about the word GENEROUS in our Falcon Flight lessons and in Mrs. Brindley’s lessons.

Kindergarteners listened to a book by Mo Willems about Elephant and Piggie generously sharing their ice cream.

First and second graders listened to the book Those Shoes and brainstormed ways they could be generous in their classrooms.

Third-grade students read a book about a girl named Annabelle who spread generosity by making sweaters. She was generous with everything - including animals, buildings, and trees.

Our fourth graders have been learning about coping skills. This month, they learned how using a journal or notebook can help them deal with big emotions.

Fifth grade learned how generosity is contagious. When someone is generous to us, we want to be generous to them in return.

One of the most important things we learned about being generous is that we can be generous with our time, things, and kind words.

Wow! Our school learned a lot about being generous.

Congratulations to our March PrinciPAL Lunch Club members! They have worked incredibly hard and shown great growth. Keep it up, FALCONS!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived… our Math Madness champions have been crowned!

Over the past few weeks, students have competed, problem-solved, and worked their way through each round with focus and determination.

Now it’s time to celebrate our winners!

Our 3rd Grade Champion, Bronson Shoemaker, showed incredible effort and math skills to come out on top. Way to go!

Our 4th Grade Champion, Ryder Brindley, worked hard and stayed focused to take home the title. Great job!

And finally, our 5th Grade Champion, Hudson Baum, rose to the challenge and proved they have what it takes to win it all. Congratulations!

We are so proud of all the students who participated in Math March Madness. Your effort, teamwork, and determination made this competition a huge success.

Macilynne has only been teaching for a few years, but the impact she has made is truly incredible. She is:

We are so lucky to have Macilynne at our school. She truly represents the heart of what it means to be an educator.

In art, our Falcons have been learning about new ways to create art and interact with our finished projects. They're understanding the different methods of creating and learning which ways help them become better artists.

Mrs. Johnson’s class is learning why some stars appear brighter in the night sky than others.

Miss Carlile’s class is being generous with their time and attention! They worked together to make our classroom clean and ready for next week’s learning!

The students loved celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day by doing an Irish jig with Mrs. Brockbank!

School will be dismissed at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18 to allow teachers time to engage in professional development. Thank you for your support as we continue learning and growing to better serve our students!

In Kindergarten, we have been learning about Colonial Towns and Townspeople and how most everything that was needed to survive was made, grown or produced by the family themselves. We have spoken about how families traveled occasionally to town to trade products or purchase services from tradespeople such as cloth and dressmakers, blacksmiths, bakers, cobblers, bricklayers and carpenters, millers, etc. Here, we are learning about making bread by hand and shaking our own butter. I think the children realize how blessed they are to be living during the time of Amazon and DoorDash.
