The Board of Education of Nebo School District (the “Board”) hereby gives notice of a public hearing regarding the proposed permanent closure of Wilson Elementary School, 590 West 500 South, Payson, Utah, 84651.

The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Wilson Elementary School, 590 West 500 South, Payson, Utah, 84651. Individuals who wish to address the Board on this subject during this public hearing may do so by emailing Raquel Baum at raquel.baum@nebo.edu. Please provide your name, city of residence, and list the subject matter as “Wilson Elementary School.” Individuals may also signup to address the Board at the public hearing on the sign-up sheet provided. Comments are limited to three minutes for each individual, and are to only address the Board on the topic of the proposed closure of Wilson Elementary School.

The Board is considering the permanent closure of Wilson Elementary School, 590 West 500 South, Payson, Utah, 84651, at the end of the 2026-2027 school year (May 26, 2027). If approved, beginning the 2027-2028 school year, school boundaries will be adjusted to reassign students who resided in the Wilson Elementary School boundary to other elementary schools in the Payson area while maintaining access to quality education and balanced enrollment.

In addition to the public hearing, community members are invited to share feedback during the following regularly scheduled Board Meetings held at 350 South Main, Spanish Fork, Utah, 84660:
