NEF Board Members with Susan Anderson Receiving the grant

The Nebo Education Foundation recently awarded grants to three Nebo School District educators to enhance classroom resources and expand learning opportunities for students. These grants are made possible through the generous sponsorship of Westland Construction, whose continued community partnership helps provide funding directly to classrooms across the district.

At Spanish Fork Junior High, Susan Anderson was awarded $233.80 to purchase new books for her students. This grant funding will help stock classroom shelves with engaging reading materials designed to build literacy skills, foster a love of reading, and support curriculum objectives throughout the school year.

Melanie Kunz received $605.00 to upgrade classroom learning spaces at Wilson Elementary. The funds will be used to acquire new whiteboards, educational rugs, and additional room setup materials. These flexible, interactive tools help create a welcoming and collaborative learning environment for young elementary learners.

At Payson High School, Angela Berrio was awarded $169.00 for language instruction materials. The grant will support the purchase of Genki learning images and magazine subscriptions, offering students rich visual and authentic cultural resources to enhance their language proficiency and classroom engagement.

"The Nebo Education Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to Westland Construction for their commitment to education and ongoing support of Nebo School District teachers and students."
