Nicole Steiner

The Nebo School Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicole Steiner as the Principal of Maple Ridge Elementary, effective July 1, 2026.

Ms. Steiner brings 14 years of exceptional service within the Nebo School District to this leadership role. Having most recently served as the Assistant Principal at Maple Ridge, her appointment ensures a seamless transition and continued excellence for the students, faculty, and staff she already knows and loves.

Nicole’s commitment to education is reflected in her extensive academic background, holding three distinct degrees:

  • Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education: Utah Valley University

  • Master of Education in Math Education: Southern Utah University

  • Master of Educational Administration: Utah Valley University

Nicole’s journey in education began in the classroom at Mapleton Elementary, where she taught fifth grade. Her path to administration has been defined by her work as a School Facilitator and her impactful leadership as the Assistant Principal at Maple Ridge Elementary.

A colleague said about Nicole, “Nicole truly loves her work as an educator, and it shows in everything she does. She has a remarkable gift for building meaningful relationships with every student she works with. Not only does she make learning fun and engaging, but she also has an exceptional ability to recognize each child’s strengths and ensure they feel valued and important. Her positivity is contagious, and her presence brightens every room she enters. Nicole represents the very best of what education should be.”

Outside of her professional life, Nicole is the proud mother of twin daughters, Lydia and Samantha, who are the loves of her life. She is a fan of the simple joys: live music, a good book, outdoor seating, and any kind of board or card game. She loves the color green, a crispy Diet Coke, and the warmth of a Sunday dinner with her family.

Nicole leads with the belief that education is about more than just a job—it is about the unique light an individual brings to the world. She is guided by the words of Eso Tolson:

"We think our 'work' is the job we go to or the place we get a check from. No. Your work is the very special thing that you add to this world. Your vision. Your light. Your love. What you share. What you create. How you make people feel. That, my friends, is truly our work."
