The Nebo School Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. RaShel Anderson as the Principal of Springville Junior High, effective July 1, 2026.
Dr. Anderson brings an unparalleled 35 years of distinguished service within the Nebo School District to this role. Her comprehensive background spans every level of the organization, from the classroom to district-level administration.
Dr. Anderson’s career began in the classroom teaching mathematics at Spanish Fork Junior High and Spanish Fork High School. She later transitioned into student support as a school counselor at multiple locations across the district. Her extensive administrative journey includes:
Principal: Spanish Oaks Elementary
Assistant Principal: Maple Mountain High School
Principal: Mapleton Junior High and Payson High School
District Leadership: Most recently served as Secondary Education Director, Educational Equity Director, and Coordinator of Student Services.
A lifelong learner, RaShel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Math Education from BYU, a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from BYU.

Outside of her professional life, RaShel is an avid outdoor enthusiast. You can often find her riding horses, hiking, skiing, or paddleboarding. She is the proud mother of six children and has 11 grandchildren.
