Seth Sorensen

The Nebo School Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Seth Sorensen as the Program Manager of CTE, effective July 1, 2026.

With 26 years of dedicated service within the Nebo School District, Mr. Sorensen brings a unique blend of classroom experience, administrative expertise, and extensive community leadership to this vital role.

Seth’s career in Nebo has spanned multiple levels and specialties, giving him a comprehensive view of the district’s mission. His experience includes:

  • Elementary Education: Teaching fifth grade at Spanish Oaks Elementary.

  • Secondary Education: Teaching mathematics at Landmark High School.

  • District Leadership: Serving as District Math Specialist, Assessment Administrator, and Public Information Officer.

Mr. Sorensen earned his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University and a Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University. He furthered his professional training by obtaining his Educational Administration License from Southern Utah University.

Beyond his work in our schools, Seth has a long history of public service. He has served on the Spanish Fork City Council for four years and the Salem City Council for eight years. His leadership extends to several influential boards and agencies, including:

  • Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce

  • Utah Municipal Power Agency

  • Mt. Nebo Water Agency

  • Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET)

Outside of his professional and civic duties, Seth has a truly unique passion: paleontology. He owns two fossil-related companies and spends his time collecting and restoring fossils, including working on full dinosaur skeletons.

Seth and his wife, Rachelle, are the proud parents of three daughters—Alexis, Adriana, and Ariyah—and enjoy spending time with their grandson, with another grandchild on the way.

Guided by a simple but powerful professional motto, Seth says:

“You send us your best, so we give them our best!”
