Nebo Math Comp.

On December 5th, seventy middle school and junior high students from across the district participated in the 2025 Nebo Math Competition, showcasing their mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities.

The competition featured four rounds: Sprint (individual, no calculators), Target (individual, calculators allowed), Team (team-based, calculators allowed), and Countdown, in which the top 16 individual scorers competed head-to-head. The competition provided students with an opportunity to challenge themselves, collaborate with peers, and deepen their interest in mathematics.

The event was made possible through the efforts of dedicated teachers and coaches, including Claire Taylor (Springville Jr.), Nicole Lane and Jenny Taylor (Spring Canyon Middle), Kristie Chappel (Mapleton Jr.), Ashley Mickelson (Maple Grove Middle), Laura Wanlass (Diamond Fork Middle), Janell Rozema (Valley View Middle), Tamara Willis (Salem Jr.), and Konda Luckau (Mt.
