Maple Mountain High School held its Commencement Program for the Class of 2025, celebrating the achievements and bright futures of its graduating seniors. The ceremony commenced with the traditional processional of the graduates, set to the familiar and celebratory strains of Edward Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance," arranged by John Whitney and performed by the combined Maple Mountain High School Band and Orchestra, under the direction of Joshua Hurst and Aileen Keliiliki.
The National Anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner", was then performed by the MMHS Band and Orchestra, conducted by Joshua Hurst. Senior Class President Jack Anderson delivered a welcome to the assembled families, friends, and faculty. The academic achievements of the class were highlighted by addresses from Valedictorian Aiden Cope and Salutatorian Luke Winward. Student Body President Lucy Messenger also shared her reflections and well wishes with her fellow graduates. A musical interlude followed, featuring the MMHS Choir and Orchestra performing the iconic "One Day More" from Les Misérables by Claude-Michel Schönberg, conducted by Aileen Keliiliki, Austin Thorpe, and Joshua Hurst.
Principal Shea Bradshaw then presented the graduating class, followed by an address from Nebo School District Board member Shauna Warnick, who offered words of wisdom and encouragement. The Presentation of Diplomas was conducted by the members of the Nebo School District Board: Shannon Acor, John Taylor, Rick Ainge, Kristen Betts, Brian Rowley, Shauna Warnick, and Scott Wilson. The ceremony concluded with the joyful recessional of the newly minted graduates, ready to embark on their next adventures. Congratulations to the Maple Mountain High School Class of 2025!
