Nebo School District is proud to announce that 40 of its buildings have achieved the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) prestigious ENERGY STAR® certification for superior energy efficiency in 2025. This significant recognition is awarded to buildings that demonstrate outstanding energy performance, outperforming at least 75 percent of similar buildings nationwide.
This achievement places Nebo School District among leading organizations nationwide, as more than half of FORTUNE 100® companies also participate in the ENERGY STAR program. This certification highlights the diligent efforts of the district's energy management team and the cooperation of staff in consistently prioritizing energy savings and reducing consumption. ENERGY STAR is the only energy efficiency certification based on actual, verified energy performance, and studies show that certified buildings boast lower operating costs and contribute fewer greenhouse gas emissions. By displaying the ENERGY STAR label at these 40 locations (listed below), Nebo School District publicly demonstrates its strong commitment to environmental responsibility, contributing to a healthier future for current and future generations.
