Nebo School District recently held its annual Retirement Luncheon, a celebration honoring the many dedicated individuals who are embarking on a new chapter after years of service to the students and community. The event, filled with appreciation and fond memories, recognized the contributions of both certified and classified employees across the district.

The luncheon kicked off with a with a warm welcome from Mike Larsen, the Director of Human Resources. A beautiful musical performance was provided by the Springville High Chamber Singers, under the direction of Cory Mendenhall, with accompaniment by Nick Mendenhall. Shannon Acor, the Nebo School District Board President, shared a heartfelt message on behalf of the board, expressing sincere appreciation for the retirees' years of commitment and the lasting impact they have had on countless students.

Tributes were given to represent both certified and classified employees. Cameo Johnson, a Counselor from Salem Junior High, offered a touching tribute to the certified retirees, highlighting their dedication to shaping young minds. Karen Olsen, the Attendance Secretary from Maple Grove Middle School, shared a tribute honoring the classified retirees, acknowledging their crucial support roles within the district. Superintendent Rick Nielsen then delivered a message, personally thanking each retiree for their invaluable service and dedication to the Nebo School District. 

The retirees were officially presented by Human Resources Coordinators Troy Bohling and Jim Welburn, who called each individual to be recognized. In a token of the district's gratitude, Board Members presented each retiree with a commemorative clock, symbolizing the time and dedication they so generously gave.
