Art City Elementary

Art City fourth grade students made graham cracker maps of Utah showing the Great Salt Lake, Salt Lake City, Springville, the mountains, and the major freeways. It was a fun activity for everyone!

Springville High School will have a Homecoming Light Parade on September 11th at 7:30 pm. It will start at 840 S 400 E and end at 1205 E 900 S. All are invited to come watch!

Picture Day at Art City will take place on October 7th. We will be doing classic class pictures again instead of composite class pictures so plan to be here that day!

Art City students came together in two sessions to review and to learn what is expected behavior at school. They reviewed how to Stand Strong be being Safe, Respectful and Responsible. They even had the opportunity to learn and review the Stand Strong dance.

Tabitha's Way Local Food Pantry in Spanish Fork is hosting its 14th Annual Gear Up for School Event where they will be handing out 1,200 free backpacks full of school supplies to families in need as well as free resources and a free lunch to all children who attend the event.

This event will be held on July 26, 2025, at Riverview Elementary School at 628 S West Park Dr, Spanish Fork, from 9 - 11 am.

Nebo is partnering with the Utah Food Bank again this year to provide free summer meals in four of Nebo School District communities. Fresh and free summer meals will be offered every Monday through Friday. Mrs. Farr, our keyboarding teacher, presented awards to her top keyboarding students for the 2024-2025 school year. Good job everyone, keep typing!

Art City fifth grade students had the opportunity to participate in the Freedom Festival Hope of America performance on May 7th. The fifth grade has been practicing and learning these songs throughout the year. It was such a wonderful, patriotic event to be a part of! They also performed for the school on May 15, 2025. Great job fifth graders!

The Art City faculty versus fifth grade kickball game took place during during the last week of school! It was such a fun, competitive game! The faculty pulled out the lead in the last inning. Good job everyone.!

On April 30, all of the fifth grade students in Springville met at Springville High School for the annual track meet. Students had to endure a rainy day and still had fun. Art City had thirteen students who qualified for finals or placed in the long jump or softball throw.

On May 7, all of the fourth grade students in Springville met at Springville High School for the annual track meet. Students had a lot of fun running and competing. Art City had six students who placed in a race, long jump, or the softball throw.

Art City fourth graders had the opportunity to share with the school some of the things they have learned during the year about Utah. Mrs. Fuhriman incorporated an art lesson and students used multiple mediums to create the state of Utah and some of the things that make Utah great.

Kids Cause is excited to invite you to our Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 2! This event will support students in Nebo School District by helping provide glasses, dental work, clothing, and other essentials. Kids Cause works closely with school social workers and administrators to identify students who need extra help, making a real difference in our community. The tournament promises a fun day for a great cause — just $60 per person! Bring your own foursome if possible! Lunch will be provided, and there will be lots of prizes to win throughout the day. Come enjoy a round of golf and help us continue supporting kids in need! We hope to see you there!
