Kendall Call Appointed Assistant Principal of Mapleton Junior

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Kendall Call as the Assistant Principal of Mapleton Junior High for Nebo School District.

Kendall earned his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Science from Utah Valley University and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University.

Mr. Call served as the Assistant Principal of Mt. Nebo Junior for the past eight years. He taught photography and television broadcasting and advised student government at both Spanish Fork High and Salem Hills High for a total of eight years. Kendall directed the district television station called The Net. He was department chair of Career Technology Education (CTE) at Salem Hills High. 
                        
An administrator said, “Without question, Kendall sees the balance between management and vision, understanding that the day-to-day workings of a school is essential in order to create a climate and culture that will challenge itself to continually improve to meet the school’s mission. Kendall is a leader who makes decisions based on a collective vision for improvement and evaluates those decisions from numerous angles.”

“I firmly believe that learning is a fire that burns in all of us and relationships are the accelerant.” stated Mr. Call. He also likes the quote, “If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always gotten.”

Kendall enjoys cars, especially movie cars such as the DeLorean time machine from back to the future and K.I.T.T from the TV series Knight Rider. He continues to fly model aircraft with his children and is currently working a commercial drone license. Kendall loves photography and still teaches it through Nebo's Community School Program. Kendall is married to Sarah; they have four children and reside in Payson.
