With the retirement of Clifton Jex, the Nebo School Board of Education appointed Wade Tischner as the Supervisor of Transportation for Nebo School District.

Wade earned his bachelor’s degree in Technology and Industrial Education from Utah State University and his master’s in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University. Most recently in Nebo, Mr. Tischner served as the Principal of the Advanced Learning Center for two years and the Assistant Principal at Salem Hills High for four years. Mr. Tischner taught engineering, robotics, and physics with technology for 16 years. He also spent 20 plus years with the National Guard and just returned from a two-year military leave of absence where he was the Mobility Officer for the 65th Field Artillery Brigade.

Mr. Tischner was selected as Lone Peak’s 2003 High School Teacher of the Year. He also had the opportunity to be an advisor in 2010 to the TSA Robotics National Champion Team.

“Every situation we find ourselves in can be a positive learning opportunity if our attitude is right and we are willing to take the time,” stated Wade. “In my roles as father, soldier, and educator, I do my best to serve and support where I can, where I must. My parents are my perfect examples of this, and I want to be like them.”

An administrator said, “I admire Wade’s professionalism. He sees what needs to be done and takes care of it. Wade is sensitive to the needs of those around him and has a good sense of prioritization. He works extremely hard with a positive attitude. Wade is dependable and consistent. He is levelheaded and mature in all of his interactions with students, parents, faculty, and peers. Wade Tischner is an outstanding educator and a person of integrity.”

Wade said, “A big shout out and thank you to the Nebo district team for being so great to work with as I was called upon to fulfill my duties as a soldier for the last two years.  This is truly one of the greatest school districts to work with.”

Wade enjoys family time and outdoor activities like running, biking, and hiking.  He is married to Donna, and they have seven children.
