Two Nebo Principals Recognized by Their Nebo Peers 2023

Jason Beardall and Tiffanie Miley

Congratulations to Jason Beardall and Tiffanie Miley for being recognized in Nebo School District as Outstanding Secondary Principals.

Jason Beardall was selected among his peers as Nebo’s Assistant Principal of the Year. Jason has served as the Assistant Principal for Springville High since 2018. Previously he served as Dean of Students for three years. Jason also taught health at  Spanish Fork Junior for six years, served as Campus Supervisor for Springville High for two years, and as a teacher’s aide and Cornerstone technician for three years.

Secondary Director, Dr. RaShel Shepherd said, “Jason is an outstanding administrator. He leads with his heart through kindness and service. Teachers and students feel supported and heard by Jason and are dedicated to working together to make a positive difference at Springville High.”

A colleague said, “Jason can be trusted with the most sensitive of issues. His work ethic and desire to make a positive difference in young people’s lives is unparalleled. On numerous occasions Jason has had the ability to work with the most difficult student or parent and resolved the issue. He works fervently for the benefit of the student and sees the overall vision of how to make a school function efficiently and effectively. Jason has outstanding communication skills and is open to new ideas and practices. He has the students’ best interests at heart.”

Mr. Beardall earned his bachelor’s degree in Health Education from Utah Valley University and his master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University. 

Tiffanie Miley was also selected by her peers as Secondary Principal of the Year for 2023. Tiffanie has spent the last four years as Principal at Springville Junior High. She served as an Assistant Principal of Springville High School for the past four years and as the Dean of Students of Springville Junior for two years before that. She was a teacher for 14 years at Springville Junior High School; over the years she taught seventh, eighth, and ninth grade English, reading for enjoyment, and journalism. She also spent ten years working as a mentor for beginning teachers.

“Tiffanie is an amazing leader. She has worked with her faculty to create a shared vision and has provided leadership opportunities for them to leverage their strengths in alignment with this shared vision, said Dr. RaShel Shepherd, Secondary Director, “We are so proud of Tiffanie’s leadership. She is committed to creating a nurturing, loving, kind environment where her teachers and students thrive.”

A colleague said, “When I came to Springville High, I knew that Tiffanie would be the ideal administrator to work with. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and work ethic has benefitted the students, parents, faculty and staff at our school. Ultimately her ability to create strong relationships of trust is her greatest attribute.” 

Tiffanie earned a bachelor’s degree in English Education and a master’s degree in Teacher Education, both from Brigham Young University. She also earned an Administration License from Southern Utah University.
