Nebo School Board of Education were Delighted by East Meadows Elementary - Answer to Wednesday Challenge

A confident fifth-grade student, Howie Anderson, led the Nebo School Board of Education and the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance Wednesday night.

Principal Teresa Jordan then presented to the Nebo School Board of Education about many strengths of East Meadows Elementary including:
• High Quality Tier 1 Instruction
• Research-based, Systematic, Interventions
• Social and Emotional Support and Well-Being for Students

East Meadows instructional goals include:
• Improving Cognitive Engagement for Students
• Examining and Improving Rigor in all Subject Areas

Next the Nebo School Board of Education were able to hear from the following students:

Eliza Hickman, a fifth-grade student, introduced East Meadows Mustang Pride Program (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support). East Meadows also uses a wellness room to support students.

Eden Paxman, a fifth-grade student, spotlighted teachers and staff that made a difference in her life from kindergarten to fifth grade.

The Nebo Board of Education and audience then enjoyed a four-minute video showcasing East Meadows.

Some East Meadows students then sang and performed “The Mustangs of East Meadows” written by a parent and PTA member, Cherie Anderson. The students delighted the audience.
