Salem Junior High Principal Presents to the Nebo School Board of Education

Principal Keith Richards addressed the Board of Education and thanked them for this opportunity to spotlight a little bit of Salem Junior High’s greatest.

“It has been a tough couple of years for everybody, and we feel lucky to have such a great school full of fantastic teachers and staff members along with some super amazing students, which you will be able to see as a few will present here tonight,” said Principal Richards. “Our school Slogan at Salem Junior High is ‘Spartan Strong-Body, Heart, and Mind.’ We believe this slogan is what propels us through when things get tough and lets people know who we are!”

Salem Junior High School’s Vision:
“Salem Junior High Spartans are strong in Body, Heart and Mind. Our Bodies are actively engaged in school sports, extracurricular activities, and keeping ourselves physically healthy. Our Hearts advocate for respect and loyalty among our peers, teachers, staff and administrators. Our Minds are innovative, open and driven to strive for academic excellence and critical thinking.”

Three delightful Salem Junior High students then presented the following:
Sienna Pope talked about the school’s student council.
Haley Newman presented on Latinos in Action.
Mia Johnson introduced the activities of the Hope Squad.

The Salem Junior High Singers group ended the presentation on a high note. These talented musicians were led by Mrs. Leni Thomson, who is doing a fantastic job with the music program at Salem Junior High.

The Nebo School Board members were impressed with each student’s remarks, confidence, and mature presentations.
