The Nebo Education Foundation Board functions through generous donations made by individuals and businesses as well as fundraisers where all the money goes to educate students in Nebo School District. Thank you to all those that so generously supported Nebo students through donations.

President Brian Rowley said, “We enjoy supporting an organization that improves learning opportunities for our students in Nebo School District. With tremendous support of local businesses and giving citizens, the Nebo Education Foundation can provide resources to teachers to enhance the quality of education for our students in the classroom. Everyone wins when the students benefit.”

Congratulations to the following teachers that continue to make a difference in the lives of students.

Valley View Middle – Allison Mower
Allison Mower, librarian at Valley View Middle, said, “We are so excited to be able to purchase another 3-D printer for the students to use in the media center! The students love 3-D printing and the line to use the current printers is out of this world.  They create just about anything on 3-D printers.  Now, more students will have access to print their cool and unique creations.  Thank you Nebo Foundation for helping more Valley View students have access to the 3-D printing program here in the Media Center!”

Santaquin Elementary – Jason Shelley
“I am so very appreciative of this grant! Many of our students struggle to read at grade level. This money will enable some of them to close the gap and to read more age-appropriate books.  The money will be used to buy iPads and Bookshare will be installed so the students can have whatever book they want read to them. I can't imagine a more normalizing and empowering opportunity than to read a book! Thanks again!” exclaimed Jason Shelley, speech therapist at Santaquin Elementary.

Mt. Nebo Middle – Nicole Schofield
“I am so excited to receive this grant to purchase new equipment for my theater program! We have been needing a new spotlight for years to help balance out our shows, this money is making that possible for us, and just in time for our Spring Production of Descendants. Thank you so much Nebo Foundation!” said Nicole Schofield, drama teacher at Mt. Nebo Middle.

Santaquin Elementary – Becca Dooley
“Thank you so much for approving the grant for decodable texts!  With the LETRS training, we teachers are learning new ways to more specifically help fill in the gaps within reading.  By getting decodable texts that will target specific reading skills within Phonemic Awareness and Phonics, I can gear my small group instruction to what my students truly need and also have them reading books to practice that specific skill.  Thank you so much for being willing to help me improve all of my students' reading skills,” stated Becca Dooley, first-grade teacher at Santaquin Elementary.
