Calling All Veterans

Date: November 11, 2021 - Veterans Day

When: Veterans need to be at the parking lot no later than 9:30 a.m. The procession will begin at 9:45 a.m.

Where: Veterans are to come in their own vehicles to the parking lot at the Payson Swimming Pool/New Hillman Ball Fields, located at 655 S. Main Street in Payson.  Family members of the veterans are welcome to drive with, or drive for the veterans.

Route: The parade will go past Park View, Payson High School, Spring Lake, Payson Junior High School, Wilson, Mt. Nebo Middle School, Taylor and will end at Barnett.

Purpose: We want to recognize our veterans and instill a love for and  appreciation of veterans in our students. Students will line the streets surrounding their individual school.  They will cheer on our veterans as the parade passes.

How can you help?  Please help us spread the word to our veterans – invite parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other family members or friends who have served or are currently serving in our military.

We welcome community members who would also like to help cheer on our veterans to gather on the parade route between schools. You can find the route on our school websites.  Thank you for helping us make this a wonderful tradition for our schools and community.

This event has been coordinated by Park View Elementary.  If you have questions please contact them at 801-465-6010 from 8 am to 4 pm.  Individual schools will also have information on routes and times.
