Nebo School District honors classified employees across the district. Thank you to all those that submitted, over 400, employees this year.

2021 District Employee of the Year – Suzi Whiting
                        
Suzi Whiting  –   Brookside
Child Nutrition – Employee of the Year

“Suzi is the transport employee at the Brookside kitchen. She is very organized and timely with the food preparation and the daily kitchen duties. She runs our team smoothly. Suzi is helpful and kind. She is also great with the students who help serve! She is always the first to help wherever needed. Suzi is amazing and promotes a positive atmosphere.”

Douglas Loveless  – Maple Mountain High
Custodian – Employee of the Year

“Douglas is a friend to all. He does so much to not only to keep our school clean and well maintained, but he truly makes this school a great place to work because of his friendly nature and attitude. Douglas puts in extra time to make sure our school is running smooth and is a great addition to our faculty!”

Stacey Hall – Maple Ridge Elementary
Educational Technician – Employee of the Year

“Stacey is amazing with the students. She has fun activities for them to do. Whenever anyone needs a book or an idea, she is always very helpful. Stacey is known for always decorating the library with a new theme each year. She uses her creativity to create a fun and magical reading place for students.”    

Cody Anderson 
Maintenance– Employee of the Year

“Cody has made a significant impact on the maintenance department. His experience in the private sector and his knowledge and experience with camera systems has made Nebo schools safer and the principals’ jobs easier. We appreciate Cody because of his quick response. Frequently, he is asked to make video clips. Cody will stop in the middle of any project to help a school in need.”    

Laurie Bills   –   Brookside Elementary
Secretary – Employee of the Year
“Laurie supports every staff member, student, and parent in our Brookside community. She is proactive, kind, and pleasant. She works hard at her job and is always trying to learn more so she can meet everyone's needs. Laurie is simply amazing!”

Josh Waters – Salem Elementary
Special Education Services – Employee of the Year
“Josh works wonders with the special needs children. He is always happy and willing to work with the most difficult students. Josh stays positive and is a delight to be around. Josh motivates students and is excellent at following through with behavior plans to keep students on track. He is a self-starter and shows great initiative. Josh goes above and beyond and truly cares about his students. In return, his students love him.”

Jackie McKinney  
Transportation – Employee of the Year
“Jackie has a very difficult job with the behavioral students. She is patient to a fault and cares deeply about the students she serves. Jackie just stays positive and is a dedicated, loyal, and hardworking employee! She is respected by all.”
