Spanish Fork and Salem Chamber of Commerce Business Education Award - Westland Construction

Nebo honors Westland Construction and Chris Houghton as the Spanish Fork/Salem Chamber Business Partner in Education Award for 2021. For over a decade, Nebo has been partners with Westland in building schools for our communities.

One of the first schools Westland Construction built for Nebo School District was Foothills Elementary in 2006 even though Westland had worked on many smaller projects starting back in 2001.

Ever since then, Westland has been amazing to work with. Nebo found out quickly how responsive and accommodating Westland Construction is to any changes or questions the district may have. Westland truly tries to be wise stewards of public funds and even goes the extra mile in saving funds.

Also, Westland has expanded to building temples for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint all over the world.  They built Spanish Fork City’s “All Abilities Park,” the New Fire Station, and currently the city’s new Library.

Some words that describe Westland Construction are: Reliable and Honest.

Some Westland Construction fun facts: The owners grew up here and graduated from our Nebo schools. They continue to support our schools. You can find them attending various activities and sporting events in Nebo School District. They support the Green Fever Golf Tournament every year. These monies fund equipment for our teachers and students.

It is rare to find a company that truly partners so readily with Nebo schools and students. The education of Nebo students is enhanced by these generous businesses that support Nebo School District.

Thank you, Westland Construction and Chris Houghton, for giving of your time, talent, and treasure to Nebo School District.
