Lowe’s Home Improvement Donates to the Nebo Education Foundation

Submitted by lana.hiskey on

Lowe's Home Improvement in Spanish Fork held their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting this past week. Mayor Steve Leifson and the Spanish Fork Salem Chamber welcomed Lowe's to the community. Many short speeches were made and the honored Maple Mountain High (MMHS) marching band performed a couple of special numbers to make the entire celebration memorable. The MMHS marching band has recently won First Place at the Nebo Invitational, Wasatch Invitational and Davis Cup competitions.

The highlight and surprise for Nebo teachers and students was Lowe’s generous donation to the Nebo Education Foundation of $2,500 for educational learning grants. One-hundred percent of these funds to go to students and teachers in the form of learning grants. These grants consist of musical instruments, calculators, science balances, reading books, Chromebooks, sheet music, iPads, art supplies, math manipulatives, and other learning devices.

The Nebo Education Foundation functions through generous donations made by individuals and businesses throughout our many communities.  The Foundation helps enrich students’ education in Nebo School District.  Anyone interested in the Nebo Education Foundation or who wish to make a donation for education is encouraged to contact Lana Hiskey by email lana [dot] hiskey [at] nebo [dot] edu, by phone 801-354-7400, or mail 350 South Main, Spanish Fork, UT 84660.
