On Monday, January 28, 2019, the top two teams from each Nebo school, Payson Junior High School, Mapleton Junior High School, and Diamond Fork Junior High, met to compete in a Nebo School District “Battle of the Books” challenge.
Last weekend, January 26, 2019, Nebo had nearly 100 students representing all five Nebo School District High Schools at the Women’s and Men’s Honor All-State Choir held at the Salt Lake Tabernacle provided by the Utah Music Educators Association (UMEA).
Nebo School District honors Doug and Carol Ford, owners of Mountain Country Foods, with the 2018 Business Educator Partnership Award at the recent Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber banquet in January 2019.
Superintendent Rick Nielsen and the Nebo School Board of Education meet with students from each of the high schools and junior high schools on a quarterly basis.
Salem Elementary Principal Coral Lee Findlay thanked the Nebo School Board of Education for the opportunity to present some of the highlights at Salem Elementary.
Students at Mt. Nebo Junior High got a little dose of "reality" today as they participated in Reality Town. This fun, hands-on activity incorporated real-life scenarios and taught students the importance of budgeting, fiscal responsibility and getting an education.
KSL Teacher Feature honors Nebo educator, Gaylynn Parker, former teacher at Spanish Fork Junior High and current teacher at Payson High School. Mrs. Parker was honored for her accomplishments by the Zion’s Bank and KSL’s NewsRadio Teacher Feature award.
The Nebo Education Foundation is composed of 20 volunteer board members who live in cities serviced by Nebo School District.
