Kendall Call Appointed Assistant Principal of Mapleton Junior

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Kendall Call as the Assistant Principal of Mapleton Junior High for Nebo School District.

Kendall earned his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Science from Utah Valley University and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University.

Keith Richards Appointed Assistant Principal of Spanish Fork High

Keith Richards Appointed Assistant Principal of Spanish Fork High

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Keith Richards as the Assistant Principal of Spanish Fork High for Nebo School District.

Keith earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from Utah Valley University and his master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University. 

Mr. Richards was the Assistant Principal at Mapleton Junior for the past three years and also served as the Dean of Students. He taught mathematics at Salem Hills High for two years and at Diamond Fork Junior for four years.

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Curtis Burton as the Assistant Principal of Salem Hills High for Nebo School District.

Curtis earned his bachelor’s degree in History and English from University of Utah and his master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University.

Liz Blanton Appointed Assistant Principal of Mt. Nebo Junior

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Liz Blanton as the Assistant Principal of Mt. Nebo Junior High for Nebo School District.

Liz earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Utah Valley University with a Special Education license and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University.

Mrs. Blanton served as the Assistant Principal at Salem Hills High for the past three years. She served as the Dean of Students at Landmark High School, taught special education at Oakridge for three years, and at Salem Hills High for three years.

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Amy Darrington as the Principal of Cherry Creek Elementary for Nebo School District.    

Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Brigham Young University and her master’s degree in Education with an Administrative Endorsement from Southern Utah University.

Mike Duncan Appointed Principal of East Meadows Elementary

Mike Duncan Appointed Principal of East Meadows Elementary

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Mike Duncan as the Principal of East Meadows Elementary for Nebo School District.

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in Education from Utah Valley University and his master’s in Education Administration at Southern Utah University. 

Mr. Duncan served as the Principal of Cherry Creek Elementary for the past seven years where he successfully implemented the Leader in Me program in 2014. In 2018, Cherry Creek was named a Lighthouse School.

Nebo Team, MMHS, Wins First Place at Science Olympiad Competition

MMHS Olympiad Team

The Maple Mountain High School Science Olympiad team competed at Southern Utah University this past weekend for our final competition before state. MMHS received 21 of the 23 medals in different events and took first place! MMHS will compete on March 30 at the University of Utah where they will be defending their State Title. Please congratulate the following students and coach Kyle Miller on their excellent performance.
