Nebo Students Visit Airplane Maintenance Facility

Nebo Students Visit Airplane Maintenance Facility

Students from the Nebo School District ALC High School Aviation program visited the new Duncan airplane maintenance and modification center being completed at the Provo Airport. The new Duncan Aviation facility is a 70+ million-dollar investment that is a huge complex of hangars for business jet inspection, repair, modification, and painting. The complex which is still under construction will have 275,000 square feet of inside space when completed. The company currently has 135 employees and that number is expected to grow to 200 by the end of the year.

Westside Elementary Earns Nebo #Hashtag Award

Congratulations to Westside Elementary, in Nebo School District, and their school PR person, Arlene Haymond, for earning the Nebo #Hashtag Award. This award is given to the school that communicates to their parents and students, in a variety of ways, the events and important news items happening at school. Ms. Haymond has posted over 30 stories a month. The school also has over 130 percent of their student enrollment connected on social media to get the latest news from the school. 

Tona Graff Appointed Assistant Principal of Springville High

Tona Graff Appointed Assistant Principal of Springville High

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Tona Graff as the Assistant Principal of Springville High for Nebo School District.    

Tona earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from Brigham Young University and her Education Administration at Southern Utah University. Ms. Graff was the Dean of Students at Payson High for the last two years and taught mathematics at Payson High for 23 years. She also coached basketball, softball, volleyball, and speech/debate for 20 years.

David Rockwood Appointed Assistant Principal of Payson High School

David Rockwood Appointed Assistant Principal of Payson High School

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Dr. David Rockwood as the Assistant Principal of Payson High for Nebo School District.

David earned is bachelor’s degree in Psychology Teaching from Brigham Young University and his master’s degree in Educational Psychology and doctorate’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy, both from University of Utah. He received the Milton Bennion Scholarship in 2017-18.
