Payson High school has a long legacy of championships. Payson High School has been feared since its founding in 1912. Over the years, Payson High has been recognized as champions in almost every sport. However, in recent years, the state trophies have had need to be restored.

In December, the Westside Elementary student council members, along with Principal Sara Matis, presented a check for over $3,000.00 to Dave Smith with Community in Action. During an entire week, student council members counted pennies and change that students brought for the annual Penny Wars.
Spanish Oaks very own Cheyanne Prather wanted to help clothe homeless children, so she came up with a great way to use her allowance. She bought candy and snacks, then sold them on the side of the road and at football games. She then took the money to buy more snacks and continued to sell.
