Annual Events

Payson's Onion Days Celebration is held
on Labor Day weekend. There are fireworks, a 5 & 10K run,
flower, art, and craft shows. A band concert is held at Memorial
Park on Sunday evening. Monday, Labor Day, the last parade
of the season is enjoyed by hundreds of interested spectators.
Carnival rides and booths are open all weekend as well as
a bazaar in the park.

Payson Community Theater has one presentation
each summer in conjunction with Payson's Onion Days celebration.

Payson also holds an annual Scottish
Festival in the month af July. There is a parade with Scottish
bands, Payson royalty, Payson High Marching Band, Payson High
Pipe Band, and Scottish clans. Festivities are held all day
with Highland games and dancing competitions.

Payson's annual Salmon Supper is the
first Friday in August. Over 2,500 pounds of salmon are flown
in fresh from the Pacific Northwest, then grilled over an
apple wood fire. This event attracts thousands from all over
the West.

An old summer tradition of a band concert
presented by Payson City band takes place on Sunday evenings
at Memorial Park beginning the Sunday following July 4th,
and continuing through Labor Day. The concerts are free to
the public and start at 8:00 p.m. during the summer months.

Nebo Clogging Tournament is held the
second weekend in June and attracts over 3,500 competitors
and many more spectators.
