Scholarship

To All UVSC Native American Students:

Just a reminder that any of you hoping to receive financial aid for Fall 2006, you should have already completed FAFSA (Pell Grant), and if you haven't, do so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Most tribal scholarship deadlines are in MAY (Hopi and others) and JUNE (Navajo and others), and all tribes REQUIRE that a needs analysis be completed by the UVSC Financial AId office, postmarked by the scholarship deadline date. The needs analysis is based on your Student AId Report from your Pell Grant application. It is URGENT that you do FAFSA now if you haven't already completed it. (If you need assistance with Pell, make an appointment to see Barney Nye in the Multicultural Center, 863-8357).

The UVSC Multicultural Center will mail your tribal scholarship applications for you by certified mail as long as I received them several days before the deadline. If I get swamped on the deadline date, I (Ken) cannot guarantee that the applications will all get mailed on time. So get it done early and bring it in.
