Goalview Tutorials: How to cut and paste PLEPs, Goals & Objectives and Accommodations into a Snapshot IEP.

The students used in these tutorial situations are fictional. The highest possible care has been taken to maintain the confidentiality of actual students on Goalview.

If you don't have a copy of the Snapshot IEP on your computer you can download one from the Nebo Special Education Website. Go to the District Website at www.nebo.edu . Go to Departments and select Special Education.
Select the button that says Snapshot IEP Template.
Select Save
Save the snapshot IEP in a convenient place on your computer by selecting a location on your computer from the "Save in" menu and then select Save.
When you are ready to create a snapshot IEP open up the snapshot_iep on your computer.
This form has tables for you to type the data in or copy and paste the data in from Goalview.
Fill in the student information, Student Name, SPED Teacher Name, etc.

Log on to Goalview.

You can switch back and forth by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the screen.

It will actually be easier to copy the data if you leave Goalview in View Mode.
Use your Mouse to drag over and select the Present Levels of Educational Performance.
Go to the Edit menu and select copy.
Go back to the snapshot_iep and click your mouse on the table under the Present Level of Functioning.
Go to the Edit menu and select Paste.
The present levels that you copied from Goalview are now in your document.
Go back to Goalview and scroll down to the Goals section.
Use your Mouse to drag over and select the Goals and Objectives.
Go to the Edit menu and select copy.
Go back to snapshot_iep and select the table under Goals/Objectives. Go to the Edit menu and select Paste.
The Goals and Objectives that you copied from Goalview are now in your document.
I moved the Goals/Objectives down on the document by clicking the mouse next to the beginning of Goals/Objectives and using the Return key to move them down to the next page.
Click on the Adaptations table.
Go to Goalview and select any program modifications or adaptations on the IEP.
Go to snapshot_iep. Go to Edit and select paste.
Fill in the rest of the data.
Go to File and select Save As.
Use the "Save in" menu to select where you want to save the Snapshot IEP.
I created a folder called Snapshot IEP's to save mine in. I used the student's name for the File Name and then Click Save.
When I want to retrieve the Snapshot IEP I find the area of folder that I saved it in.
Open the folder and then open the document.

Now I can print the document to give to the Regular Ed teacher(s).

Note: You can also copy and paste from an IEP that has been archived in Adobe Acrobat (PDF).

You can print out the Snapshot IEP that I created as an example.
