| After you have downloaded Audacity and iTunes you are ready to record and burn to a Compact Disk. |
| Step Three: Open Audacity and make an audio recording. |

| The buttons on this work the same as most recorders do. |

| If you are recording it should look something like this. |

| You need to Export this to your computer as a wav file. |

| Find a good place on your computer to save the file where you will be able to find it easily. (Wav files can also be used on applications such as Power Point.) |

| You are done with Audacity now. You need to go to the folder that contains your wav file now and open it with iTunes. |

| After you right click a menu will open. |

| Be sure that you remember the name of the file so that you can find it on iTunes. |

| You cannot burn a disk from the Music Library so you need to move a copy of your file to a playlist. |

| Move your mouse over the file, hold down the left button, drag it to the playlist that you want to put it in, release the left button. |

| Select the playlist with your recording. |

| You need a CD-R Recordable Compact Disk, any brand will do. |

| When iTunes finishes the disk can be played on any CD player. Good Luck!!! |
