Goalview Tutorials: How to delete Goals and Objectives from an IEP

The students used in these tutorial situations are fictional. The highest possible care has been taken to maintain the confidentiality of actual students on Goalview.

When an IEP has been completed you may wish to delete some of the goals and/or objectives. First make sure that you are in edit mode and you can add or change student data.

In this example we will delete the division goal (Annual Goal 3) under Math. Deleting a Goal will also delete the objectives that go with it.

Select Edit Goals .

A Goals Edit window will open with all of the math goals.

Scroll down to the ones that you want to delete.

Using the pull down menu change the Goal from Active to Deleted & select Save .

The Edit Goals window will close and it will take a few seconds to save the change into your document. (If the window does not close on it's own then click on the "x" to close it and select Save Changes on the save menu.)

Annual Goal 3 under Math has now been deleted.

You can delete objectives from goals. We will delete Objective 1 from Goal 2 under Language Arts.

Select Edit Goals .

A Goals Edit window will open with all of the language arts goals.

Scroll down to the goals that you want to delete.

Using the pull down menu change the Objective or Objectives from Active to Deleted & select Save .

The Objective from Goal 2 has now been deleted.
