J. Lynn Jones - Director of Special Education/Federal Programs I graduated from Brigham Young University in 1980 with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. Since that time I have also received M.S. and Ed S. degrees from BYU. I have worked in Nebo School District for the past 29 years. I have been a teacher, principal, and am now the Director of Special Education/Federal Programs. I am a native of Spanish Fork where I presently live with my wife Gayleen and our youngest son Taylor. We have three older children and three grandchildren who also live in the area. We enjoy sports and other outdoor activities. Working in Nebo School District has been a very rewarding experience. I feel very fortunate to be able to serve the students in our school district and work with the wonderful teachers and other support staff in our department.

Mike Murray - Supervisor of Special Education/Federal Programs After spending the first eighteen years of my life in Cherry Hill, N.J., I headed west to the vastly different cultural and environmental climate of BYU where I lost my New Joisey accent and my tolerance for humidity, but found my wonderful wife! (Not a bad trade!) At BYU I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology and my Master's degree in school psychology and began working in Nebo School District in 1976 as a school psychologist intern and have remained with the district since that time. Launa Macomber - Special Education Program Specialist I have enjoyed working for Nebo School District for many years, first as a school psychologist, and currently as a program specialist. My educational background includes an associate degree from Snow College, a bachelors in sociology, a masters in school psychology, and a specialist degree in psychology, all from BYU. During my career, I have worked with students from preschool through secondary levels. Some of my work experiences that have been particularly rewarding for me include attending the State Mentor Teacher Academy and serving on the Preschool Assessment Team, the Crisis Intervention Team, the State Learning Disabilities Task Force, the District Autism Team, and the State Autism Roundtable. In my spare time, whenever there is any, I enjoy playing with grandchildren, riding and training horses, singing, art, and travel. Assigned Schools:

MarVele Tycksen - Special Education Mentor Specialist (Mild/Moderate) "I spent seventeen satisfying years teaching in Resource classrooms in Jordan School District following my BA degree from the U of U. In 1998, my family purchased acreage in Salem County; we built a home and became 'city farmers'. Since then I have completed my Masters Degree, in School Counseling (2000), ESL endorsement (2002), and will begin a Reading Endorsement in the fall (2006). After one year in Nebo School District, my family moved to Columbus, Ohio, where I was able to use my Counseling degree. Following a year tour there, we returned to Salem, and I spent two memorable years teaching children from the Mt. Loafer community. Currently I am working as the Mild/Moderate Mentor for the Nebo School District. It is rewarding to see the growth and development the new teachers make; I really enjoy my position. For renewal, I enjoy activities with my husband Brent, four children, two son in laws, and with in the last few months, two grandchildren. We snow ski, hike, ride ATV's, and just hang-out; my life if good." District Assignments: Assigned Schools: Contact Information
