  • Graduated from Payson High School in 1971
  • B.S. with high honors from BYU in 1977

  • Masters of Library and Information Technology from BYU 1983
• Career
  • Taught ESL at Liahona High School Tonga 1978-79.
  • Worked at Harold B. Lee Library at BYU as: Stacks Manager, Reserve Reading Room Supervisor, Current Periodicals Manager, and Circulation Desk Supervisor.
  • Taught grades 7-12 English and Social Studies classes for the BYU Division of Continuing Education 1981-1996.
  • Worked at Dynix, a library software automation vendor from 1983-2000.
  • Worked as the Circulation librarian at Oak Canyon Jr. High in Alpine School District from 2001-2003.
  • Worked as the Media Center Director at Springville Jr. High from 2003-present.

  • Married to Karen Throckmorten from Genola, Utah.
  • Children: Charlene, Joshua, Joelle, Lonnie, and Ryan
• Hobbies and Interests: Reading, sports, history, exercise, and good movies.
