Spanish Fork High School Renaissance Program

We have joined a national network of approximately 2000 schools in a program called Renaissance. It is designed to promote academic success and positive learning climate. The program involves incentives to recognize achievement and effort and is designed to make school better for students, teachers and staff. The elements of the current program are summarized below:

1. Don Gram Program
Don Grams are postcards which are sent home to recognize the accomplishments of students. Teachers are encouraged to turn in the cards during the week. All of the cards are then mailed home. They may be addressed to the parents or to the students.

2. Student of the Month
Six students will be selected each month. They will be nominated by faculty. Those students will have their pictures and a brief summary of their accomplishments displayed in the hall and will also be recognized in the Spanish Fork Press. There will be a male and female from the sophomore, junior, and senior classes selected.

3. Renaissance Awards Banquet
In the spring, we will hold a Renaissance Awards Evening. Each teacher may present one Renaissance Award. These will go to students who typify high ideals of scholarship, citizenship, achievement and character. Each teacher will select his/her own recipient. Parents and students will be invited. Plaques and certificates will be presented.
