VOCAL MUSIC

All Vocal Music Courses are auditioned, primarily for placement. Auditions take place in the spring.

18223PREMIER- (2 Semesters - 1.0 Credit; Audition required)

18224This class is an advanced women’s ensemble offered to students in any grade level (primarily 10-11) who are serious about choral music. Along with choral training, this course will review music fundamentals. Uniform purchase/rental required. (Grade 10,11,12)

18262MEN’S CHOIR- (2 Semesters -1.0 Credit; Audition required)

This class is offered to any male student in any grade level who is serious about choral music and desires training. Along with choral training, this course will review music fundamentals. Uniform purchase/rental required. (Grades 10,11,12)

18273A CAPPELLA CHOIR- (2 Semesters - 1.0 Credits; Audition required)

18274This class offers advanced choral training for serious music students. Uniform, Tour & CD purchase required. Participation in all scheduled appearances is required. (Grades 11,12)

18293AMBASSADORS- (2 Semesters - 1.0 Credits; Audition required)

18294This ensemble is a show choir/musical theater type of ensemble which may rehearse before school, 7 AM or earlier as assigned. Show Band will sign up for both semesters. Uniform rental and tour fees required Participation in all scheduled appearances is required. (Grades 11,12)

18273SINGERS- (2 Semester - 1.0 Credit; Audition required)

18274This is an advanced ensemble which will sing a plethora of musical styles. Preference will be given to upper grades. Uniform purchase is required. (Grades 10,11,12)

18193ENCORE- (2 Semesters - 1.0 Credit; Audition required)

18194This ensemble will study pop-jazz literature. Preference will be based on a blend of ensemble and seniority. Students must also be in A Cappella or Chamber Singers. (Grades 11,12)

18202CONCERT CHOIR- (1 Semester - 0.5 Credit)

This is a general admission choir for both males and females who have an interest in learning how to sing as a choir or in improving talents in the vocal musical area. The choir will perform in various concerts throughout the year. A choir uniform is required. Fills Fine Art requirement. (Grades 10,11,12)
