EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES/RESOURCE

In an effort to provide assistance to students with special needs, a number of resource classes are offered. In order to qualify for these courses, students must have a current Individualized Education Program (IEP) on file. Students who are not currently classified for resource help, but feel that they may qualify, should contact a counselor or one of the resource teachers for guidance.

94513RESOURCE ENGLISH 10 - (2 Semesters - 1.0 Credit)

94514This class is designed to teach basic reading, writing and spelling skills for the 10 grade resource student. Prerequisite: APPROVAL OF THE IEP TEAM. (Grade 10)

94523RESOURCE ENGLISH 11 - (2 Semesters - 1.0 Credit)

94524This class is designed to improve reading comprehension, writing and spelling skills for the 11 grade resource student. (Prerequisite: APPROVAL OF THE IEP TEAM. (Grade 11)

94534 This class is designed to review the following English skills: grammar, comprehensive reading skills and daily writing skills. Prerequisite: APPROVAL OF THE IEP TEAM. (Grade 12)

This class is for the special education student who is preparing for employment or higher education after graduation. The class covers the five life skills of job search, consumer math, health, social skills and home management. PREREQUISITE: APPROVAL OF IEP TEAM. (Grade 11 and 12)
