REGION ACTIVITY CHAIRPERSON: Wade Lott Lehi High School (School) 768-7000 (Fax) 768-7007
1. Cross Country meets will begin at 3:30 p.m.
2. Each school will furnish their own adhesive-backed finish tags. Tags should represent school colors (Lone Peak - White, Pleasant Grove – Blue, Lehi – Purple, American Fork – Black, Spanish Fork - Red and Timpanogos – Green).
3. The host school will prepare a well-marked, safe course of approximately three miles. Finish chute will be required on dual meets as well as the Region Meet.
4. The top four (4) teams and the top ten (10) finishers in the Region Meet will qualify for the State Meet.
5. The winner of the Region trophy will be determined by the team scores at the Region meet.
6. Medals will be awarded to the top ten (10) finishers and certificates for 11 – 20 finishers at the Region Meet in both the boys and girls Varsity. Certificates will be awarded to finishers 1 – 10 at the Region Meet in both the boys and girls Junior Varsity competition.
7. Each individual may compete in a maximum of ten (10) meets, plus the Region and State meets.
8. After each Region dual or tri-meets, the host school will fax results of the meet to each Region school within one week.
9. Each school will provide two (2) volunteers for the Region Meet.
10. The Region coaches will select an All-Region Academic Team composed of Varsity Senior runners, who have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher. The names need to be submitted by the third (3rd) week of September.
11. Changes in the Region Schedule must be approved by the Region Representative over Cross Country. A fine may be imposed for failure to notify the Region Representative. 12. The Region will pay for the official scorer at both the pre-region and region meets. |
