Park School Community Council Meeting
Oct. 30th , 2008 SCC minutes
Attendance: Rob Keddington, Dawn Smith, Lu Olsen, Leslie Perschon, Ramona Samuels, Valerie Davies, Carrie Dunn, Lorie Portlock
- The Trustlands DVD was viewed, which completed our annual training for SCC.
- The dates for SCC were set for the rest of school year:
- Nov. 20
- Dec. 18
- Jan. 22
- Feb.26
- March 26
- April 23
- May 14
- The location of SCC has been changed to the Park School library to accommodate guests.
- Update on wellness program: It was decided that each grade level would receive 2 prizes
drawn monthly. Oct. prizes would be and outdoor bag with Frisbee.
- EDUSS update- The program is not running yet. Problems are being worked out with the
log in procedures.
- PTA would like to show Kung Fu Panda as a school Nov. 25th

- A new chairperson was chosen for the 008/09 school year-
Congratulations Ramona Samuels!
School wide wellness program was discussed and assignments were made, with Myles Peterson
as the director.
- Monthly incentives were brainstormed with an end of year grand prize of possible
movie tickets.
- A monthly wellness calendar would be sent home with the students to monitor progress.
Our SCC mtg. time was changed to every 3rd Thursday of the month at 3pm.
07/08 AYP results were discussed and reviewed.
