Nebo Athletes put Aside Rivalry to Honor Soccer Goalie

On Thursday, August 17, the Maple Mountain Lady Golden Eagles Soccer team met rival Salem Hills on the pitch. Before the game, the athletes paused to honor Salem Hills goalie, Nikki Finau, who has been diagnosed with Leukemia.

The Lady Golden Eagles presented pink roses to the members of the Salem Hills soccer team and wore pink headbands in honor of Nikki.

Nebo Peak Center Ready for Students

Nebo School District opened its doors to the Nebo Peak Center in Salem. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by more than 200 people with district officials, city officials, chamber of commerce professionals, faculty and staff, and most importantly students that will be taking classes at this modern facility.

The entire area will house the Advanced Learning Center (ALC) formerly in Springville, a fieldhouse, warehouse, and maintenance building for Nebo School District on a 13 acre site.

Jake Jones, SFHS, Selected FFA National Finalist

The National FFA Organization announced today that Jake Jones, from Spanish Fork High in Nebo School District, was selected as a national finalist for the National FFA Proficiency Award in Wildlife Production and Management - Entrepreneurship/Placement. Jones is one of only four people chosen to compete for this award at the national finals to be held this October during the 90th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis.

Tabitha's Way Annual Backpack Giveaway

This Saturday, August 5, 2017 is the Tabitha's Way Annual Backpack Giveaway.  It will be held at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds in the Tennis Court Building from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.  The backpacks are filled with school supplies and are free to anyone in need.  Children receiving backpack(s) must be present at the event. 

Five High Schools Represented Nebo Well at FCCLA Nationals


Over 7,500 youth met  in Nashville, TN for FCCLA Nationals July 1-7. FCCLA stands for Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America - one of the biggest clubs available to students in Nebo high schools. District wide,  13 students from all 5 high schools represented Nebo extremely well! These students first competed in a variety of projects starting at the region level, then advancing to state competitions, where they then qualified for nationals. Collectively, the district took home a total of 11 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medals.
