Nebo School Board of Education -- Answer to Wednesday's Challenge

Submitted by lana.hiskey on

On Wednesday, September 12, the Nebo School Board reviewed Board goals and received additional training by the Utah School Boards Association representatives, Richard Stowell and JoDee Sundberg. Some other items considered for Board action included presentations from Barnett Elementary and a video story by Brockbank Elementary showcasing their students using the latest technology including iPads.

Some items that received approval for Board action included updates for the following policies:
Student Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs,
Booster Clubs, and
Student Enrollment & School Transfer.

The Nebo School Board of Education meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend these meetings. However, our October Board meeting will be held October 17 due to Fall Break.

Next month’s Board meeting will include a Youth Board meeting where junior high and high school students report highlights and have the opportunity to ask the Board questions.

Nebo School Board members are dedicated servants that continue to keep “what is best for students” in mind when making their decisions.

Ryan Kay, administrative intern at Taylor Elementary, won the Wednesday's challenge.
