Chris Roberts Awarded Governor’s Leadership in the Arts

Chris Roberts was awarded Governor's Leadership in the Arts Awards at the Mountain West Arts Conference. Conference attendees viewed a photo collage of Chris in action at Rees Elementary, various conferences and universities throughout the state of Utah and the country.

Governor Gary Herbert gave Chris a beautiful pottery vase and a letter of commendation which says:

"Your leadership and contributions to arts education is far-reaching and immeasurable. I have learned that your influence in arts education has reach far beyond your classroom students and has benefitted educators throughout the state, families, and communities. As a veteran teacher of 34 years, colleagues indicate that you maintain enthusiasm and passion toward the value of arts education for every child!

A dedicated, passionate, caring teacher and mentor can have a lasting impact in the life of an individual. It is evident through your example and inspiration that you are such a person. Your hard work and consistent efforts are both acknowledged and appreciated!" Gary R Herbert Governor.
