Diamond Fork Junior Science Olympiad Team Places at State Tournament

Submitted by lana.hiskey on

The Diamond Fork Junior High School (DFJHS) Science Olympiad team placed fourth overall in the state compeition, out of 34 teams that competed. The team worked hard together, being tested in several science-related areas of knowledge. The team won gold medals in several areas including microbiology (won by Samuel Dallon and Rachel Bybee), astronomy (won by Samuel Dallon and Adam Warnick) and water quality analysis (won by Rachel Bybee and William Graham).

Because of the popular demand of Science Olympiad at DFJHS, another Diamond Fork team of ninth graders entered into the high school division, placing fifteenth overall in the Utah Science Olympiad competition. Team members Avery Green and Matthew Searcy won the silver medal in microbiology in this division.

Congratulations to both teams on their success and accomplishments!
