Joy Maughan – Secretary, Maple Mountain High
Joy is always the first person to arrive at school.  She always greets everyone with a big smile as they arrive, creating a friendly and caring atmosphere.  She makes everyone feel important--students, parents, faculty, delivery people, etc.  She is an excellent office manager and no task is too small or too large for her.  She is definitely a people pleaser.  Everyone loves Joy!

Joy is the nicest person in our school and will do anything for anyone. She goes out of her way to make our school a great place to enter. Everyone is greeted by her warm and friendly nature. She is always putting in extra hours, and I've never heard her complain about anyone or anything. She is my example! She is wonderfully friendly, helpful, kind, and pleasant in all situations!  She is the JOY of our school!

Allen Puckett – Computer Technician
Allen provides exceptional technical support for the district office, which keeps the computers up and running.  He provides technical phone support to employees across the district.  He provides the technical support to keep Follett Destiny, the library software running.  Allen supports Principalm for all of the principals and support personnel that use it.  He is pleasant, understanding, and willing.  In addition to his own assignments, he willingly goes out of his way to help IT Specialists who are overwhelmed with job requests.  He provides technical support for the school board, arranging his schedule to work late on board meeting nights.  He works hard and is efficient and effective. Allen is a priceless asset to our district.

Charles Betts – Lead Warehouseman
Charles is the Lead Warehouseman and does an excellent job. An employee can ask him where anything is in the warehouse, and he can recall the stock number as well as find it. Charles is always willing to help. He has a very positive attitude and never complains. He is always working and never late to work. He will give 100 percent. Charles is everyone's friend and has worked hard to make the warehouse a vital part of Nebo School District.

Christine Hart – Instructional Technician, Legacy
Christine Hart is the supervisor of the Day Care Facility at Legacy School -- Nebo's high school for young parents. She has directed the Day Care and cared for hundreds of infants and toddlers at Legacy since the school opened almost 15 years ago.

Remarkably, Chris remembers the names of all of the students who have gone through Legacy and the names of almost all of their children.  She loves the children in her care and takes their well-being very seriously.  The children love Chris. The co-workers love watching the children run to Chris and climb up on her lap to feel her arms wrap around them. She keeps a very clean and organized facility and implements stimulating activities for the toddlers. She has very high expectations for the students who help in her day care; she expects that they will be highly engaged with each of the children.

Thanks, Chris, for providing a loving environment for the children while their mothers work against tough odds to get their education.

Dalless Kearl – Food Service Manager, Salem Hills High
Dalless has been employed with Nebo Food Services for 21 years.  “Millions and millions served” could very well be a catch phrase for Dalless.  Through her many years of employment, she has not only served up delicious meals; but she has served the students, faculty, and staff in every way imaginable.  Dalless has been a nurse, a doctor, a therapist, and a gourmet chef.  Dalless has always been willing to try new recipes and menu items.  In fact, she has developed foods that would rival even the best of selections that are offered in fine dining restaurants.

Dalless works hard to please customers at Salem Hills High School. She and her staff also prepare meals for Foothills, Salem, and Mt. Loafer elementary schools.  She has a tremendous amount of responsibility and tackles every challenge that comes her way.  It's amazing how she is able to smile and carry on with such a positive attitude.  Dalless, we'd all love to borrow a page from your book.  You are awesome!  We hope you will enjoy working for years to come.

Marie Steadman – Bus Technician, Oakridge School
Marie works with children who have special needs. She has the ability to use many different strategies in dealing with different behaviors. She has energy, hard work habits, patience, and love for children. Marie has qualities that come from the heart. Skills can be taught, but love and compassion in many various situations are gifts.  Marie always comes to work with a positive attitude. She is an amazing asset to Nebo School District Transportation.

Paul Finch – Maintenance Custodian Foreman
Paul Finch has been an excellent employee for Nebo School District since 1983. In 2004, he became custodial foreman in the maintenance department.  We have benefitted from his many years of experience as a custodian.

Paul  has great ideas about how to improve the custodial force at Nebo School district. He is involved in making choices and buying the best products and equipment that will make the job of the custodians more productive, clean and safe for students.
Paul has a good sense of humor. Paul is always willing to listen and to evaluate the situation to resolve any problems that may arise.  He is very accurate in his paperwork and in maintaining his finances for the custodial department. Paul is genuinely a great man. He has a marvelous understanding of what it takes to be a successful custodial foreman.

Rodney Hall – Head Custodian, Brookside Elementary
Rod Hall is pleasant with even the most unpleasant tasks faced by a custodian at an elementary school.  He is very supportive to the other custodial staff and the teachers as well.

Rod is like the fix-it grandpa of the school. He is professional and everything runs well. He jokes with the kids in the hall and is friendly with all the staff. The building atmosphere is clean, well-cared for, and cheerful because of the effective, behind the scenes job, Rob does so well.
